There is something special about sitting down with someone and hearing their story.
Whether it is a business owner sharing how they got started, a community leader talking through an idea, or a customer explaining the difference a company made for them, the best stories usually come from honest, comfortable conversations.
That belief was at the heart of the recent remodel of the Inner Action Media studio.
The project began with an initial vision from Jim. He saw an opportunity to transform the studio into a warmer, more modern, and more flexible space that would look great on camera while making every guest feel comfortable and welcome.
From there, our team worked together to bring that vision to life.
We were intentional about every detail. Rather than rushing to finish the project, we took time to think through how each part of the room would look, feel, and function. From the materials and furniture to the lighting, displays, and overall layout, every choice had a purpose.
Like the productions we create for our clients, the studio remodel was a team effort. Jim provided the original direction, and our team helped refine ideas, solve problems, and execute the vision. The finished space reflects the creativity, care, and attention to detail everyone brought to the project.
Our goal was simple: create a studio where guests could walk in, take a seat, and feel at ease.
We wanted conversations to flow naturally, ideas to take shape, and businesses and organizations to have a professional setting where they could share their stories in a meaningful way.
The newly remodeled studio will serve as the home of the Positively West Virginia podcast while also giving our clients a flexible space for video shoots, interviews, podcasts, testimonials, branded content, and other productions.
Several upgrades helped us get there, including a new wood slat wall, televisions, podcast desk, and seating.
One of the most noticeable changes is the new wood slat wall. Its natural tones bring warmth and character to the room while creating a clean, modern background for video. The texture adds depth without pulling attention away from the people and stories at the center of each production.
It also gives us a backdrop that can work across a wide range of projects, from relaxed podcast conversations to executive interviews and promotional videos.
The new televisions add another layer of flexibility. We can display company logos, podcast graphics, campaign messaging, sponsor information, event details, and other branded visuals directly within the set.
That means the space can feel different for every client without needing to completely rebuild the environment for each production.
A business can display its logo during a customer testimonial. An organization can feature campaign messaging during an interview. A recurring video series can have its own recognizable look. The displays allow us to customize the studio while maintaining a polished, consistent level of quality.
They will also play an important role in the continued production of Positively West Virginia.
The podcast has always been about celebrating the people, businesses, and organizations doing good work across the Mountain State. It gives guests an opportunity to talk about where they came from, what they have learned, and how they are making a difference.
We are excited to give those conversations a newly remodeled home that feels polished without losing the personal, down-to-earth quality that makes the show special.
At the center of the room is our new podcast desk. It gives hosts and guests plenty of space for microphones and production equipment while still allowing everyone to see one another and have a natural conversation.
That matters more than it might seem.
The best interviews often happen when people stop thinking about the cameras and start connecting with the person across from them. The layout helps create that feeling while also giving our production team flexibility to capture wide shots, close-ups, and multiple angles.
The setup can support Positively West Virginia, client podcasts, one-on-one interviews, group discussions, and plenty of other formats.
We also upgraded the studio seating to make longer recording sessions more comfortable.
When people feel relaxed, they tend to speak more naturally and forget about the production happening around them. That is often when the best moments happen.
The chairs fit the clean, professional look of the room while helping create a welcoming experience from the moment someone walks through the door.
While podcasting was an important part of the remodel, the studio was designed to do much more.
The space can support executive interviews, customer testimonials, educational videos, social media content, company announcements, training videos, livestreams, commercials, branded video series, and other productions.
We can adjust the background, seating, displays, lighting, and camera setup based on the needs of each project. One day, the studio might host a relaxed podcast conversation. The next, it could be used for a polished company interview or a multi-camera production.
That flexibility also creates more value for our clients.
A single recording session can potentially become a full podcast episode, several social media clips, a promotional video, photographs, and other marketing assets. Our goal is to make the process comfortable, efficient, and useful from beginning to end.
More than anything, the remodel reflects our continued commitment to the people and organizations we serve.
At Inner Action Media, our work has always been about helping clients communicate clearly, connect with the right audiences, and tell the stories that make their organizations different.
The new studio gives us an even better place to do that.
Every detail, from the wood slat wall and televisions to the podcast desk, seating, lighting, and production equipment, was considered with the people using the space in mind.
Because strong content is not just about having the right equipment.
It is about listening well, creating trust, and giving people the space to tell their stories in their own words.
We are proud of what our team created together and grateful for the thought, patience, and work that went into turning Jim’s original vision into a finished space that feels distinctly like Inner Action Media.
Now, we are ready to use it.
We look forward to welcoming familiar faces and new guests into the studio, recording new episodes of Positively West Virginia, working with clients on professional video productions, and seeing what other ideas come to life in the space.
The studio may have a new look, but our purpose remains the same: helping businesses and organizations tell meaningful stories, reach the right people, and create action.
We cannot wait to welcome you in and create something together.
